This role is for a Clinical Negligence Associate based in Manchester or remotely within an international law firm.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a leading legal team which manages a variety of work for defendant clinical negligence clients, primarily focusing on insurer / medical malpractice clients. Our client has a portfolio of work for insurers - dealing with pharmacy, aesthetic and private clinicians.
Description
As a Clinical Negligence Associate your key responsibilities will include:
To run a caseload of clinical negligence files to include:
Reviewing Insurance Policies and advising on coverage
Drafting reports
Interviewing witnesses
Drafting witness statements
Instructing experts
Instructing counsel
Attend Court for Case Management Conferences and Application Hearings
Advising on quantum and negotiating settlements.
Holding conferences with Counsel
Preparing for and attending trials and mediations
Additional duties:
Draft articles for clients on changes to the law
Give client training and presentations
Build and maintain client and internal relationships, adhering to both internal and external operating procedures
Contribute to business development by seek new business opportunities
Having a wider contribution to the Health business group and wider Firm by continually seeking ways to improve
Supervision of colleagues work and supporting development of the team by appropriate delegation and coaching
Profile
A successful Clinical Negligence Associate should have ideally 1-4PQE in defendant or claimant clinical negligence work. Please note the level of experience identified in this advert is a guide only and does not preclude candidates with more or less PQE from applying.
Job Offer
Salary ranging from Β£48,000 to Β£55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
Hybrid working arrangements or fully remote for greater flexibility.
Bonus scheme based on performance.
