Job ID: JN-082026-7080339Posted: 2026-08-11Location: Lancashire, England, GBSalary: 40000 - 55000/yearType: Full-timeCompany: Michael PageContact: Rebecca ScuffamJob function: TreasurySubsector: TreasurySector: Business ServicesWhere: LancashireContract type: PermanentConsultant name: Rebecca ScuffamOpportunity to make your mark in a newly created roleHybrid set up with 1-2 days per month in the officeAbout Our Client I am delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed organisation to recruit a Treasury Accountant.As part of its ongoing growth journey, the business has created this new role to develop treasury capability, strengthen cash flow forecasting and provide greater support to strategic decision-making across the Group.The organisation is a leading provider of advisory and managed services within the energy, sustainability and ESG sectors, supporting a diverse customer base with complex operational, regulatory and environmental challenges.Job Description Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this newly created Treasury Accountant role will be responsible for managing cash flow forecasting, treasury activities and supporting key financial reporting processes.Key responsibilities include:Preparation and ownership of rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts.Monitoring actual cash performance against forecast and providing detailed variance analysis.Supporting working capital initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve cash generation.Partnering with operational and finance teams to understand cash cycles and improve forecasting accuracy.Managing daily cash reporting and providing visibility of cash positions across the Group.Monitoring and optimising cash balances, including execution of bank transfers where required.Managing relationships with external lenders, including covenant reporting and compliance monitoring.Leading foreign exchange management and treasury-related activities.Assisting with VAT returns and other regulatory reporting requirements.Assist month-end and year-end financial close processes.Facilitating payments to energy suppliers on behalf of clients.Lead process improvements across treasury and finance operations.Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the CFO and Group Financial Controller.The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will have:A recognised professional qualification (ACT,ACA, ACCA, CIMA, equivalent or studying towards a professional qualification).A collaborative approach with the confidence to build relationships across the organisation.A proactive mindset with a desire to drive continuous improvementStrong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.What's on OfferNewly created role with the opportunity to shape treasury processes and reporting from day one.Exposure to a growing private equity-backed business with ambitious growth plans.Significant interaction with the Group Financial Controller, CFO and wider leadership team.Hybrid working arrangement (1-2 days in office per month)If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
