Overview
In this Management Accountant role, you will deliver monthly management accounts and robust financial reporting to drive business insight. You’ll partner with operations and supply chain to challenge performance, support decision-making, and ensure accurate month-end closes. You will evaluate CAPEX proposals, manage asset registers, and assist year-end processes, contributing to continuous improvement across the business. This role offers visibility through site reviews and cross-functional collaboration, with a path for professional growth. You will be instrumental in shaping financial outcomes and supporting growth in a well-established FMCG company.
Pay / Benefits
- salary 50,000 to 55,000

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journals)
- Support month-end close and timely financial reporting
- Produce monthly reporting packs with commentary on performance, variances, risks and opportunities
- Analyse performance against budget/forecast/prior year to identify key business drivers
- Partner with operational and supply chain teams to provide insight and challenge for decision-making
- Present financial results at site reviews and operational meetings
- Support CAPEX approval process with sound financial evaluation
- Maintain control account reconciliations and fixed asset register
- Assist with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting
- Support development of trainee finance staff and act as SAP key user for the finance team
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical skills to translate data into business insight
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confidence using SAP or similar finance systems
- Enthusiastic, proactive and growth-oriented
