Job Description

The Regulatory Solicitor will be:

  • Advising clients on the regulatory aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures
  • Conducting regulatory due diligence and drafting contractual provisions
  • Working with clients on contentious regulatory matters including environmental and health and safety cases
  • Assisting with investigations, enforcement proceedings and trial preparation
  • Advising clients on fire safety legislation, compliance obligations and enforcement action
  • Working with manufacturers, importers and distributors on product safety and compliance matters
  • Assisting clients with product recalls and remedial action programmes
  • Managing a varied caseload while delivering commercially focused legal advice
  • Building strong relationships with clients across a range of sectors

The Successful Applicant

The Regulatory Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor qualified in England and Wales with circa 1 to 2 years' PQE
  • Experienced in regulatory, litigation or contentious legal work
  • Able to demonstrate strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Interested in developing expertise across environmental, health and safety and product compliance matters
  • A strong communicator with excellent client relationship skills
