The organisation focuses on identifying high-quality investment opportunities through rigorous due diligence, market insight, and innovative technology, while fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement Job DescriptionConduct in-depth research on hedge funds and liquid market strategies, including equity long/short, macro, credit, relative value, systematic and multi-strategy approaches.Apply structured research frameworks and analytical tools to evaluate investment managers' competitive advantages, investment processes, team quality and performance.Analyse investment data, portfolio characteristics, performance drivers, risk exposures and market trends to support manager selection and monitoring activities.Generate investment insights through the assessment of fundamental, quantitative and alternative datasets.Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of manager evaluation frameworks by providing research-driven feedback and investment perspectives.Partner with quantitative researchers and technology teams to refine research tools, improve workflows and enhance the effectiveness of investment assessment processes.Support the testing, validation and continuous improvement of research methodologies and analytical frameworks.Translate qualitative and quantitative investment insights into structured research outputs, investment memoranda and recommendations.Prepare presentations and reports for senior stakeholders, contributing to investment decision-making and portfolio discussions.Stay abreast of developments across hedge fund strategies, investment managers and broader financial markets.The Successful Applicant The candidate should have the following:5-10 years of experience in manager research, investment due diligence, hedge fund research, Fund of Funds investing, or manager selection and portfolio construction, with a strong focus on hedge fund investments.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. CFA, CAIA or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.Demonstrated experience evaluating hedge fund managers across a broad range of strategies and conducting both qualitative and quantitative due diligence.Strong understanding of manager selection frameworks, fund analysis, portfolio construction, risk assessment and performance attribution.Experience working with investment research platforms, analytical tools and large datasets to support decision-making.Ability to assess and interpret complex investment information and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.Strong Python or data analysis skills would be advantageous, although the role is primarily focused on research and investment analysis rather than software development.Experience working alongside quantitative research, data science or technology teams to improve research capabilities and investment processes.Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.Intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and a data-driven approach to investment research.What's on Offer Great exposure and growth opportunities
