European Credit Controller in Reading

Overview

In this European Credit Controller role, you will manage receivables for European customers within an established international tech-focused company. You will collaborate with the finance team to mitigate credit risk and support month-end processes, delivering accurate reporting and compliant credit decisions. You’ll engage with customers to resolve queries and chase overdue payments, shaping efficient credit practices. Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable for European customers
• Chase overdue payments and resolve related queries professionally
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and payment schedules
• Collaborate with internal teams to address credit issues and minimise risks
• Prepare regular credit control reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with company policies and European regulations
• Assist with credit assessments for new customers
• Support month-end processes by reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Familiarity with accounting software and Excel
