b Overview /b p In this senior role, you will own the day-to-day performance of a busy Sheffield manufacturing site, driving safety, quality and delivery. You’ll lead cross-functional teams to meet output targets while building robust operations and continuous improvement. You’ll shape a culture of zero injuries and zero defects, embedding structured systems for planning, KPIs and reporting. This position offers significant impact in a growing fabrication business and opportunities to influence long-term site performance. You’ll work closely with engineering, projects and leadership to align targets and deliver high-quality products. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li base salary and bonuses /li li car or car allowance /li li enhanced pension scheme /li li life assurance /li li private healthcare /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Champion and lead a zero-injury safety culture with accountability across all shifts /li li Maintain and enforce a zero defect, right-first-time culture with quality gates at each production stage /li li Lead site performance and workflow planning to meet productivity targets in a high-standards environment /li li Embed and improve structured operational systems (KPIs, planning, reporting) to support consistency and continuous improvement /li li Lead and develop the operations team with clear communication and accountability /li li Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, projects and senior leadership for smooth delivery and aligned targets /li li Reinforce internal procedures, compliance and H S protocols in line with company standards and accreditations /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Senior Operations Management experience within a complex manufacturing or engineering environment /li li Proven track record leading production teams, ideally in multi-shift operations /li li Strong experience with operational systems: KPIs, planning, resource management, safety and compliance /li li Deep understanding of quality control and process gates throughout production /li li Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement knowledge and practical implementation /li li Excellent leadership and people management skills; hands-on, clear and structured /li li Ability to stay calm under pressure and be fully accountable for site delivery /li /ul ul li leadership /li li clear communication /li li resilience under pressure /li li operational systems (KPIs, planning, reporting) /li li quality control and gates /li li Lean, Six Sigma or CI methodology /li /ul
