Overview
In this role you support and lead leasing strategy implementation across a retail portfolio, working with the Group Property Director and Real Estate team.
You analyse performance, costs and lease events to mitigate liabilities and uncover value opportunities, while managing external advisers and preparing strategic recommendations.
You will monitor key portfolio metrics and drive lease negotiations, restructurings and exits where appropriate.
This is a fast-paced environment focused on freeing up value in real estate assets and optimising occupier strategies.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement leasing strategies across a portfolio of retail assets
- Analyse portfolio performance, lease events and occupational costs to identify risks and opportunities
- Monitor rent roll, expiries, break options, vacancy and over-rented properties
- Identify opportunities to enhance freehold value via lease restructuring, renewals, surrenders and exits
- Lead or support lease negotiations including renewals, rent reviews, re-gears, surrenders and new lettings
- Manage external agents and professional advisers; collaborate with operational teams
- Produce portfolio reporting, dashboards and strategic recommendations
- Maintain accurate property and lease records; support due diligence for acquisitions
- Key requirements
- 2-5 years in commercial property, corporate real estate transactions / occupier side / Tenant Rep / Asset Management
- Understanding of commercial leasing, L&T and lease events
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience managing external consultants or agents
- Exposure to large occupier portfolios on active transactions / portfolio rationalisation
- MRICS / CAIA / IMC qualified or equivalent (ideally)
- Desirable: experience with restructuring or insolvency-related property matters
