A specialist PE Real Estate investor with c.25 years track record delivering opportunistic returns across all asset classes including Commercial, Alternatives & Living, Land & Development, Resi Master-planning & Strat Land. They are now in an exciting period of growth and this is a newly created role as they ramp up transaction activity in the UK & Europe for a fresh 1.5bn fund.
Job Description
- Full autonomy and ownership of the Fund model comprising multiple assets across all classes, and in due course Operational assets / companies.
- Support on financial modelling, research and co-ordination of investor reports.
- Proactively liaise and help the Investment & Asset Management / Dev teams to stress-test and validate modelling assumptions on acquisitions and business plans.
- Monthly, Quarterly and ad-hoc Portfolio Performance and Risk analysis for reporting, including producing financial analysis on investor returns.
- Collate and report committed and actual Cap-Ex/spend against approved budgets.
- Where necessary, assist in the preparation of external valuations, liaising with key stakeholders.
- Frequent portfolio updates, collating data from local teams to establish inflows and outflows in the fund and assist the SLT to ensure compliance with investment guidelines.
- Measure performance and understand net asset value calculations.
- Fund and Investor reporting for SLT meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery ready for Investor meetings.
- Help co-ordinate production of materials for Investor presentations, IR slide decks and Investor queries.
- Assist the Investment and AM teams in gathering, collating and reporting on industry and fund research.
- Assist Investment team and SLT with weekly, monthly and quarterly commentaries where necessary.
- Help obtain overview of financial markets and macroeconomic trends.
The Successful Applicant
- A solid result in a STEM / analytically focused Degree (Built Environment / Real Estate / RE Finance or related highly desirable but not necessity).
- Ideally prior experience as a Portfolio or Fund Analyst within a PE Real Estate firm or Investment Manager / Asset Manager.
- Prior exposure to analysing and reporting on UK & European Real Estate products is a must.
- Demonstrable ability in advanced analytical excel work including creating and interpreting complex financial Fund models.
- Incredibly high attention to detail, flagging / checking and amending any anomalies.
- Ability to work and enjoy a fast-paced environment assisting and pitching in with busy teams - a "can-do" and "I'll pitch in" attitude are essential.
- Excellent skills preparing slide decks, reports and ad-hoc comms / materials.
- Ability to work independently as the owner of the Fund model, whilst also having the interpersonal / engagement skills to work closely with SLT / Investment team to complete reports on time are crucial.
