About Our Client: A globally recognised luxury retail brand, who is looking to appoint a Senior Employee Relations Specialist into a newly created role within their People team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and build an ER function from the ground up, joining a business that has experienced significant growth and is investing heavily in strengthening its people practices.
Job Description:
- Provide expert advice on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance cases, offering guidance to managers and employees throughout the process.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations into workplace concerns and recommend appropriate outcomes.
- Support HR teams with complex employee relations cases and queries.
- Analyse trends in employee relations to identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver training sessions to managers on handling employee relations matters effectively.
- Collaborate with legal teams where necessary to address employment law concerns.
The Successful Applicant: A successful ER Specialist should have:
- Strong knowledge of employment law and its application in the workplace.
- Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry is beneficial.
- A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
Please note: this role will be 5 days per week in the London office. This is a highly collaborative, in-person culture where relationship building and stakeholder engagement are central to success. WFH days are permitted.
