Overview

In this role, you join a growing national construction practice to advise on a broad range of construction matters. You will work across contentious and non-contentious work, collaborating with clients through the lifecycle of major projects. You’ll draft, negotiate and advise on risk, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution, while contributing to business development and long-term client relationships. This is a chance to shape high-value projects in a supportive, collaborative team with clear progression paths.

Responsibilities

  • Contract drafting and negotiation
  • Project advisory work
  • Dispute avoidance strategies
  • Adjudications, litigation, arbitration, mediation and other forms of ADR
  • Support clients throughout major project lifecycles
  • Manage risk on high-value, technically complex matters
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship building

Key requirements

  • Qualified construction lawyer from a recognised law firm
  • Experience in contentious construction, non-contentious construction, or both
  • Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Comfortable working on complex, high-value matters
