Job Description: We are seeking an ambitious Procurement Manager- Purchasing Manager to join a growing Group Procurement function at an exciting stage of its transformation journey. This is a key leadership role responsible for leading procurement operations and the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) function, while playing a central role in the implementation and adoption of SAP Ariba. This opportunity will suit an experienced procurement professional who enjoys driving change, improving processes, building stakeholder relationships and developing high-performing teams.

As Procurement Manager, you will lead procurement operations, P2P function ensuring efficient, compliant and value-focused procurement activity across the organisation. You will be instrumental in delivering procurement transformation, embedding best-practice sourcing and purchasing processes, strengthening governance, and improving the overall procurement experience for stakeholders across the business.

Working closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, IT, senior leadership, and operational teams, you will act as a trusted procurement partner while championing continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) function, ensuring effective and compliant procurement operations.
  • Manage, coach and develop the Purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation, rollout and ongoing optimisation of SAP Ariba.
  • Drive process improvements across procurement, sourcing, quotation management and purchasing activities.
  • Ensure robust procurement governance, controls and policy compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and operational teams to influence and embed best-practice procurement.
  • Support alignment between purchasing, inventory management and operational requirements.
  • Oversee sourcing activity and support supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Deliver spend analysis, procurement reporting, KPI tracking and supplier performance insights.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for procurement transformation, systems implementation and process improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant:

We are looking for a commercially focused procurement/ purchasing professional with strong leadership capability and experience driving procurement excellence. You'll have:

  • Strong experience within procurement operations and Purchase-to-Pay environments.
  • Experience implementing or supporting procurement systems, ideally SAP Ariba.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience delivering procurement transformation and change management initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, compliance and audit controls.
  • Proven analytical and reporting capabilities, including spend analysis and KPI management.
  • Experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
  • MCIPS qualification or be working towards it.
