About Our Client

You'll be responsible for owning a portfolio of budgets, delivering clear and meaningful financial reporting, and acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders with varying levels of financial experience. Those who have a professional accountancy qualification and excellent relationship building skills are essential for this role. First/second time movers from practice will be considered.

Job Description

  • Manage and support a portfolio of budget holders
  • Monthly budget monitoring and forecasting
  • Detailed variance analysis and financial reporting
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Providing financial advice and guidance to non-financial partners
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, accessible insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Support budget holders with financial planning, especially those new to managing budgets
  • Complete core financial processes including accruals and prepayments
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improved financial practices
  • Collaborate closely with central finance and wider teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting
  • Attend meetings as the finance representative, providing real-time support

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting or business partnering
  • Experience working in a large or complex organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • First move from practice considered
