Job Description The Legal Counsel Banking will be: Advising on bridge lending, banking and secured finance transactions.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and ancillary finance documentation.
Working on transactions from instruction through to completion, including funding and drawdown arrangements.
Advising on transaction structuring and legal risk allocation.
Providing commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders across Lending, Credit and Investment teams.
Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks associated with lending transactions.
Developing and maintaining lending documentation, legal precedents and internal processes.
Building strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external advisers.
Managing multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and service delivery.
The Successful Applicant The Legal Counsel Banking should be: A solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in banking and finance or secured lending.
Experienced in advising on banking, specialist lending or other finance transactions.
Skilled in drafting and negotiating finance documentation including facility agreements and security documents.
Experienced in managing transactions from instruction through to completion.
Commercially minded with excellent drafting, negotiation and legal analysis skills.
Able to balance legal, regulatory and commercial considerations effectively.
Confident managing relationships with clients and senior business stakeholders.
Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities within a fast paced environment.
