As part of our continued investment in Procurement, we're looking for a Procurement Transformation Lead to help shape and deliver our ambitious transformation agenda. The Opportunity: ASDA's Procurement function is undergoing significant transformation, with a focus on enhancing commercial performance, improving ways of working, leveraging technology, strengthening supplier collaboration, and building future-fit capabilities. As Procurement Transformation Lead, you will play a central role in designing and implementing key transformation initiatives across people, process, technology, governance and operating model. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will drive change programmes that improve procurement effectiveness, unlock value opportunities, enhance user experience and support ASDA's long-term strategic objectives.
This role offers high visibility across the organisation and provides the opportunity to influence strategic programmes that directly impact business performance, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Procurement Transformation initiatives aligned to ASDA's strategic objectives.
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence across procurement activities, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of procurement technology, digital tools and data-driven decision making.
- Develop and embed new ways of working, governance frameworks and best practice procurement processes.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Technology and Operations to drive change adoption and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional transformation projects, ensuring effective planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefit realisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier collaboration, commercial performance and procurement capability.
- Support organisational change management activities including communications, training and stakeholder engagement.
- Establish and monitor transformation KPIs, reporting progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of ASDA's Procurement operating model and long-term transformation roadmap.

Essential Experience
- Significant experience leading business transformation, procurement transformation or large-scale change programmes.
- Experience delivering process improvement, operating model design or business change initiatives.
- Strong project and programme management capability, with a proven track record of delivering strategic outcomes.
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and change management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience operating effectively in a complex and evolving business environment.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver measurable business benefits through transformation initiatives.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience within a large organisation.
- Experience implementing procurement technology platforms and digital transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of procurement operating models, governance and category management practices.
- Experience leading organisational change and adoption programmes.
- Retail, FMCG or multi-site operational environment experience.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supplier management, SRM and value creation programmes.
