Job Description
The Banking Principal Associate will be:
- Advising on leveraged finance, corporate finance and growth lending transactions
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements
- Managing matters across the full transaction lifecycle
- Advising lenders, borrowers, investors and intermediaries on complex financing arrangements
- Working on restructures, restatements, refinancings and bolt on transactions
- Working closely with corporate and restructuring teams on cross practice matters
- Taking responsibility for your own caseload while supervising more junior lawyers where appropriate
- Building and strengthening long term client relationships
- Contributing to business development and client engagement initiatives
- Working on local, national and international transactions across a wide range of sectors
The Successful Applicant
The Banking Principal Associate should be:
- A solicitor with at least 6 years PQE
- Experienced in leveraged finance and general banking matters
- Confident managing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Skilled at drafting and negotiating finance documentation including both LMA and non LMA documentation
- Experienced working with lenders, borrowers, investors and intermediaries
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Proactive, organised and capable of managing multiple complex matters
- Passionate about delivering outstanding client service within a collaborative environment
