Job Description As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients and leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities include: Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
Leading audit assignments and ensuring delivery to budget and deadline.
Reviewing audit files and providing technical guidance to teams.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients and developing strong working relationships.
Advising clients on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development activities.
Managing, mentoring and developing junior team members.
Supporting recruitment, training and performance management initiatives.
Assisting partners and directors with project work and strategic client engagements.
The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
Strong external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
Previous experience managing audit assignments and leading teams.
Good knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and/or IFRS.
Experience working with a range of corporate clients.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive and commercial approach to client service.
A passion for coaching and developing junior colleagues.
