About Our Client: An organisation operating within the EfW industry and based in Hertfordshire.
Job Description:
- Ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Production of accurate, timely financial reporting to support commercial decision-making
- Building and maintaining robust financial models and analysis in Excel
- Identifying financial and operational risks within the business and proposing practical solutions
- Supporting the Finance Director on strategic and commercial projects
- Managing and developing junior members of the finance team
- Liaising with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Continually reviewing and improving financial processes and controls
The Successful Applicant: A successful Senior Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- An organised approach with attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
