Our client is a successful and growing FMCG business in Frome who are looking for an experienced HR Manager who can drive people initiatives while supporting a fast-paced operational environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with senior leaders, managing complex employee relations matters, and helping to create a positive and high-performing culture.
The Role:
As HR Manager, you will report into the Head of HR and partner closely with senior management and operational teams to support business objectives through effective people strategies. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong HR generalist with experience operating in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, supporting managers, and helping to build an engaged and productive workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, and absence management.
- Support and coach managers on people management best practices.
- Drive recruitment activities to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with employment legislation.
- Lead employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Oversee performance management processes.
- Analyse HR metrics and provide insight to support business decision-making.
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful HR Manager should have:
- Previous experience in a HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role.
- Strong ER and employment law knowledge.
- Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) preferred.
- Experience within FMCG, Manufacturing, Engineering or a similar operational environment is highly desirable.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.
