Job Description Engineering Supervisor - Mechanical
Key
Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of engineers Supervise planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
Manage work allocation, scheduling, and service delivery performance.
Ensure all engineering activities are completed safely and compliantly.
Support fault diagnosis, breakdown response, and emergency situations.
Act as an Authorised Person and Competent Person where formally appointed.
Manage contractors and specialist service providers.
Maintain accurate records through CAFM systems.
Deliver toolbox talks and support staff development.
Build strong relationships with campus stakeholders and project teams.
Ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence The Successful Applicant A successful Engineering Supervisor - Mechanical should have: Mechanical qualification with at least three years' relevant experience, such as NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, City & Guilds Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation qualifications, or equivalent.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
Previous supervisory experience within a maintenance or engineering environment.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive approach to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What's on Offer Salary ranging from 45,000 to 52,500, dependent on the level of experience.
