The business provides nationwide installation, maintenance, compliance and technical support services through a highly skilled field engineering network, supporting a growing portfolio of national customers and strategic partners.

Job Description Lead and manage all operational delivery functions across the business.

Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across maintenance, compliance, installation and construction activities.

Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management within the operations department.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators including utilisation, productivity, response times, first-time fix rates, project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Lead, develop and motivate operational teams across multiple locations.

Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership.

Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation across field engineering and project teams.

The Successful Applicant A successful Head of Operations should have: Senior operational leadership experience within engineering services, utilities, engineering infrastructure, industrial services or a related technical environment.

Experience managing nationwide field-based engineering or technical service teams.

Experience in petroleum, energy or downstream infrastructure sectors would be beneficial.

Expertise in resource allocation, budgeting, and cost management.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards in manufacturing.

Excellent leadership and team development skills.

NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.* Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
