Overview
In this role you will lead and shape the Corporate Finance (M&A) agenda in Spain, reporting to senior management. You will originate opportunities, manage mandates, and drive high-quality execution with a client-focused approach. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor the Madrid-based group to align with the bank’s standards. This is a strategic growth role in a mid-market-focused institution, offering impact across deals and the broader Spain market.
Responsibilities
- Originate and lead M&A mandates in Spain
- Identify and engage mid-market Spain-based clients and C-suite executives
- Design, review and present pitchbooks and proposals
- Manage end-to-end M&A mandates with quality, schedule, client service and compliance standards
- Train and develop the Madrid-based team
Key requirements
- 8-12 years in investment banking, M&A, consulting or transaction services
- Experience in a big4, investment bank or M&A boutique
- Bachelor in Economics or Finance; Masters in Finance or MBA valued
- Strong commercial, communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in Spanish and English
