Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Own and develop end-to-end product costing methodology across a diverse product range
- Build bottom-up cost models aligned to real manufacturing processes
- Translate BOMs, routings and production data into structured costing outputs
- Analyse actual vs estimated costs and drive continuous improvement
- Support project bids - ensuring pricing is technically robust and commercially sound
- Lead development of digital / configurable costing tools and data structures
- Lead and develop a costing / estimating team
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, commercial and finance
The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, estimating or technical costing (key requirement)
- Strong understanding of how products are built and costed
- Experience working with BOMs, routings and manufacturing data flows
- Comfortable working with ERP / SAP systems and large datasets
- Able to bridge the gap between engineering detail and commercial outputs
- Proven leadership or desire to step into a leadership role
