The Junior Design Engineer will contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring that all contractual and technical requirements are met, customer expectations are fulfilled, and safety and ethical standards are upheld. Description:

  • Carry out engineering tasks to meet order deadlines, manage hours against estimates, and ensure design work meets customer and commercial requirements.
  • Create and check drawings, perform strength calculations for pressure vessels, and maintain engineering records and product documentation.
  • Enter parts and Bills of Material into SAP, following company guidelines and external standards.
  • Conduct site visits to measure and assess filters for replacement in the field.
  • Provide support to the commercial team by producing sales sketches and offering technical advice to resolve manufacturing issues.

Profile:

  • Typically requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles of pressure vessel design.
  • Proficiency in drafting and modelling using 2D and 3D software packages.
  • Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural hand calculations.
  • Strong familiarity with MS Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
