Description
Duties include:
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met.
- Partner with Commercial teams to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin enhancement.
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reporting across Export, Wholesale and B2B channels.
- Analyse volume, price, mix and margin performance to identify key business drivers and risks.
- Support forecasting, budgeting and planning processes through detailed financial analysis and commercial insight.
- Monitor global market trends, competitor activity and pricing movements to support commercial decision-making.
- Review customer and product profitability, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Prepare commercial presentations, customer reviews and performance updates for senior stakeholders.
- Challenge existing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives within Commercial Finance.
- Provide financial guidance and commercially focused recommendations to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Support the maintenance of strong financial controls while promoting commercial awareness throughout the business.
Profile
A successful Commercial Finance Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial planning and reporting within an Export or Wholesale environment.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £65,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
