Description
- Production of timely and accurate financial reports for the Pension Fund including annual accounts and annual report.
- Processing year-end adjustments e. accruals, valuations, etc.
- To provide monitoring information as required to assist in the management of the Fund
- Work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Maintain detailed and organised financial records.
- Completion of statutory and statistical data returns in accordance with their requirements.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- Full accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA,CIMA).
- Proficiency in financial reporting and data analysis.
- Experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within Local Authority pensions.
- Knowledge of public sector financial regulations(LGPS).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
