Job Description
Are you considering relocating from Ireland to London? Financial Accountant
This role offers a great opportunity to be part of the Common Travel Area and work in the City of London.
Our client is a boutique investment bank within the financial services sector.
- Conducting the month-end close process, including bank reconciliations, fixed asset roll-forwards, prepaid reconciliations, monthly accruals (including analysis and reconciliations), payroll reconciliations.
- Performing VAT analysis and reporting for the UK, France, and Germany.
- Partnering with local accounting consultants in France and Germany for local GAAP accounts and with external regulatory consultants in France and the UK for quarterly regulatory reports.
- Providing analysis and support for annual regulatory filings such as ICARA, and assisting with other ad hoc analysis requests.
- Communicating with HMRC and Companies House as needed.
- Supporting statutory audits in Europe, including liaising with external auditors, responding to audit inquiries, and preparing necessary analysis and reconciliations.
- Interacting with banks to troubleshoot cash-related issues.
- Collaborating with various teams across the firm, including the US accounting team, deal teams, and other corporate functions, to gather and analyze data for month-end close and other financial deliverables.

- Currently working in industry at any financial services firm in financial accounting/reporting OR coming from top 20 to Big 4 practice with FS audits.
