We're partnering with a leading global investment firm to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner ( 5 days a week in London office) to lead the UK People agenda. Acting as the firm's dedicated HR lead in London, you'll combine strategic business partnering with hands-on HR operations, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while maintaining full UK employment law compliance.
Working closely with senior leadership, the US HR team, and colleagues in Abu Dhabi, you'll play a pivotal role in driving people initiatives, advising managers, and overseeing the full employee lifecycle.
Description
- Partner with business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, talent development, and people strategy.
- Act as the UK subject matter expert for employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Lead all HR operations including payroll coordination, benefits administration, HR systems, and vendor management.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and the full employee lifecycle for UK employees.
- Support performance management, employee relations, engagement, and development initiatives.
- Collaborate with global HR colleagues on firm-wide projects, compensation cycles, and people programmes.
Profile
- 7+ years' HR experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment.
- Strong HR Business Partner and generalist background with experience operating as a stand-alone HR professional.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law, including ER case management, TUPE, IR35, Equality Act, and right-to-work compliance.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits, HR operations, and HR systems.
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- CIPD qualified (Level 5/7 preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working across international teams, particularly with US-based stakeholders, is advantageous.
