As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring outstanding debts are collected efficiently. Working within a robust and established finance function, you will play a key role in supporting cash flow and reducing aged debt.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established and growing business based in Warrington. This role offers the chance to become part of a supportive and close-knit finance team within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Description

  • Managing and maintaining a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
  • Monitoring aged debt and producing relevant reports
  • Working closely with internal departments to resolve account issues
  • Supporting month-end processes where required
  • Ensuring all credit control activities are completed in line with company procedures

Profile

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control position
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and results-driven approach
