A well known brand within the manufacturing space are looking to hire a new Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, manage a lean and efficient team, whilst improving processes through AI and other technologies.
This role oversees everything end-to-end including:
- Manage a small Finance team of 3
- Run Month end and prepare accurate monthly management accounts and supporting information, working to deadlines.
- Ensure robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and effective risk management frameworks
- Preparation of analysis and reports for the board and SLT to demonstrate performance of the business
- Coordinate with Commercial and Operational departments to prepare annual budgets based on strategic and departmental objectives
- Provide guidance on cost control and profitability improvements within the business
- Assist in developing 5-year plans based on strategic objectives
- Overseeing and improving product costing and manufacturing cost controls
- Ensure the companies VAT & Import Export records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure VAT returns are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Preparation of statutory accounts, audit processes, tax compliance (including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, Import/Export records), and Payroll
To be successful, you must have the following:
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA or be suitably qualified by experience
- Solid experience within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong financial analysis experience and the ability to present data
- Previous experience of preparing management accounts and financial forecasts
- Proficiency in cost accounting and manufacturing finance processes
- Strong people leadership skills, being able to demonstrate you can develop a small team
Competitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000 per annum. Flexible start & finish times, early finish on a Friday. Health cash plan, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension contribution. Other benefits can be discussed upon a conversation.
