Site Accountant

Overview

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller (Europe) with a dotted line to the Managing Director, you will own the site\’s P&L and balance sheet, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure statutory compliance. You\’ll also play a key role in site governance, driving operational efficiency and process improvements.

Michael Page are partnering with a leading international manufacturing and engineering group to recruit a Site Accountant for their Leeds site. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility finance role within a growing, technically innovative business serving multiple industries including construction, water management, and environmental solutions across Europe.

Description

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
• Full ownership of month‑end reporting, variance analysis, and management accounts.
• Oversee GL postings, AP / AR, cash management, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing insight to guide commercial decisions.
• Monitor and optimise margins in collaboration with Sales and Operations.
• Manage statutory filings, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Support stock management and working capital optimisation.

Profile

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
