Superb opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to take ownership of European finance operations within a highly respected international manufacturing business. Our exclusive and retained client is a global manufacturing and retail business with a reputation for excellence, innovation, and growth. Finance is central to strategic operations, and the European division is a key growth area.

Reporting to the UK based controller and International FC, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations across the European region. You will lead a team of five and play a critical role in group reporting, statutory compliance, cashflow and treasury management, risk mitigation, and process improvement. In addition, the business does manufacture and sell in the UK, so you will also need to have strong skills in stock management, margin analysis, inventory management etc.

  • Preparation and consolidation of regional financial reports and presentation to group stakeholders.
  • Oversight of cashflow, treasury, and reporting packages for holding companies.
  • Management of audits, tax compliance, and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Enhancement of internal controls and mitigation of financial risks.
  • Business partnering with regional leaders, HQ finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Leadership of statutory reporting and sub-consolidation for overseas auditors and banking partners.
  • Driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.
  • Playing a key role in new finance systems implementations and ERP improvements.
  • Developing and coaching the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

A ideal candidate for this Senior Finance Manager should be:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in group reporting (IFRS & local GAAP), statutory accounts, and audit.
  • Proven experience working in an international, multi-entity finance environment.
  • Experienced in financial systems and strong Excel capabilities.
  • Skilled at coaching, developing teams, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
