The aim of this role is to support the Audit Quality and Compliance function. Ideally, I am looking to speak with individuals who are enthusiastic about audit quality and continuous improvement. This role will sit within the central Compliance Team, reporting into the Associate Director for Audit Quality.

Client Details: A Top 20 Accountancy practice with a national presence. This firm is a rapidly expanding business that offers a full range of audit, accountancy, tax and advisory services.

Description:

  • Audit File Reviews: Perform engagement quality control reviews, hot and cold file reviews.
  • Technical Advisory: Respond to technical queries with clarity and precision, while identifying common themes and trends.
  • Guidance Development: Create and share guidance on emerging topics, changes in standards, and findings from reviews.
  • Training: Design and deliver targeted training across the firm.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UK offices to promote consistent and high-quality audit practices.
  • Quality Control: Help build and maintain strong audit quality procedures.

Profile: Professionally qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent). Strong experience in external audit, quality control, audit file reviewing, and technical accounting. In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in audit software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Analytical mindset with a detail-focused approach. Clear communicator and confident collaborator. Ability to manage projects and mentor others effectively. Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
