The Regional Finance Manager reports directly into the MD with a dotted line into the European CFO responsible for overseeing financial operations within the region ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulation and acts as an intermediary between central and local finance functions.

My client is a global medium size distribution and aftermarket business supplying into the transport industry. They are a market leader within their field with plans to expand further.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and developing a UK and European team, a mix of finance and non-finance members.
  • Manage the reporting of company financial position whether through internal management accounts, group reporting or statutory accounts; all within defined timescales.
  • Run month end account processes and prepare management accounts as required.
  • Investigate and provide commentary around variance analysis.
  • Develop commercial reporting.
  • Prepare internal weekly/monthly reporting as required and any reporting or analysis as required by Europe.
  • Responsible for all matters related to Fixed Assets including all reporting, leases, insurance valuation and asset tracking and verification.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the General Ledger including balancing of control accounts.
  • Lead in all taxation matters, seeking support and advice as required.
  • Prepare/Assist yearly submissions for HMRC as required e.g. PSA, STBV etc.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required.

Profile:

  • A successful Regional Finance Manager should have:
  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a finance management role, preferably in a multinational.
  • Knowledge of local and international accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Experience of leadership and team management.
  • Strong systems skills including ERP system exposure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry.

Job Offer:
