Description
The Assistant Accountant based in Reading will cover:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning.
- Support the team with audits and regulatory requirements.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial processes.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
- Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essential
