Description

  • Assist in processing payrolls across different pay cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)
  • Input and check payroll data such as hours worked, overtime, and basic pay
  • Support payroll runs by preparing information and carrying out basic checks
  • Help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, and changes
  • Process basic updates such as address changes, bank details, and tax codes
  • Ensure payroll documents are saved and organised correctly
  • Respond to basic payroll queries from employees (e.g., payslips, payments)
  • Escalate more complex queries to senior team members
  • Provide a helpful and professional service to employees

Profile

  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes or legislation
  • Experience using payroll systems or Excel
  • Interest in developing a career in payroll (e.g., studying towards CIPP)
  • Previous administrative or payroll experience (or a strong interest in payroll)
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
