The Part Time Interim Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations and reporting within the not-for-profit sector, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic financial planning. Based in Oxford, this fixed-term contract role requires a strong background in accounting and finance.

Description
· Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management.
· Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
· Oversee payroll, And one Accounts Assistant
· Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and detailed reporting for the Society.
· Quarterly financial reporting for Audit Committee.
· Day-to-day management of the accounting function including daily bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable ledgers kept fully up to date daily with all queries promptly cleared and no aging. Keeping clean and fully reconciled balance sheet balances (including Intercompany balances, Fixed Asset Register, prepayment and accruals schedules, deferred income workings).
· Responsible for in-house payroll: weekly and monthly payrolls, including HMRC and Pension scheme submissions.
· Manage the tax affairs. Working with tax advisors for Corporation tax and VAT
· Produce budgets: departmental budgets and overall budget control management.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Professional qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA). ( or Qualified By Experience)
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector ideal or in small organisations (
- Proficiency Xero accounting system
- Experince in Month end close
- Experience in dealing with Corporation Tax and VAT.
- Experience overseeing Payroll
Job Offer
- A competitive hourly rate equivalent to a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 FE
- Part-time role, (0.8) working 4 days per week.
- 5 month contract initially that could extend or become permanent.
- Hybrid working, 2 days office, 2 days from home
