Description Oversee financial assurance processes to maintain compliance with organisational policies. Review and improve internal controls to ensure strong financial governance. Conduct compliance audits and report findings to relevant stakeholders. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards in the not-for-profit sector. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and financial procedures. Prepare detailed reports on financial assurance and compliance activities. Collaborate with various departments to address compliance concerns. Support the implementation of new financial policies and practices. Profile A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience. Significant experience in financial assurance, governance, enterprise risk, internal controls, compliance or audit. Practical knowledge of financial control frameworks and assurance methodologies. Strong counter-fraud experience, including fraud risk assessments and the prevention, detection and response to suspected fraud. Experience supporting or conducting fraud investigations. Sound professional judgement when dealing with confidential, complex or sensitive matters. The ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. The ability to identify patterns, systemic weaknesses and opportunities for sustainable improvement. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills. Experience leading, coaching and developing a team. The ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change across a complex organisation. Job Offer Daily rate of Β£400 to Β£450, dependent on the level of experience.
