As a Finance Officer, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation's accounting processes. This role is based in Oxford and supports the not-for-profit sector with accurate financial reporting and budget management.

Description

The Finance Officer's responsibilities include:

  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including payments and receipts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits.
  • Chase outstanding debt over the phone and via email.
  • Provide financial advice and insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial management.

Profile

A successful Finance Officer should have:

  • Experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is desirable.
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organisation is desirable.

Job Offer

Benefits include:

  • Salary between Β£32,000 and Β£38,000, dependent on the level of experience.
