The Interim Payroll Officer will manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the public sector. The role is able to offer fully remote working and an immediate start.

As an Interim Payroll Officer, duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and handle employee queries effectively.
  • Prepare and submit P11Ds, ensuring accurate reporting of employee benefits and expenses in line with HMRC guidelines.
  • Handle statutory deductions, including tax, national insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll data promptly.

A successful Interim Payroll Officer should have:

  • Proven experience managing payroll processes.
  • Prepared and/or submitted P11Ds previously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
