This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial audit professional who wants to move beyond simply managing a portfolio and instead create something of their own.

You will be the firm's first audit appointment, taking responsibility for building the audit service line with the support of an established and profitable accounting practice that already has audit opportunities ready to transition into the new business.

An ambitious and progressive accountancy practice in the North West is seeking an experienced Audit RI to establish, lead and grow a brand new audit division.

Description

As the Audit RI, you will

  • Establish and lead a new audit function from inception.
  • Act as Responsible Individual for audit engagements.
  • Take ownership of a ready-made pipeline of audit clients already identified within the existing client base.
  • Develop audit methodologies, processes and quality control procedures.
  • Build and grow an audit team as the service line expands.
  • Drive business development and identify further audit opportunities.
  • Work closely with the firm's leadership team to shape the strategic direction of the audit practice.
  • Create a high-quality, commercially successful audit offering.
  • Profile

We are interested in speaking with individuals who

  • Hold Audit RI status and are authorised to sign audit reports.
  • Are ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Have substantial experience managing and delivering audit engagements.
  • Possess strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
  • Have the ambition and capability to build and lead a growing service line.
  • Enjoy developing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Combine commercial thinking with strong leadership skills.
  • Able to work from the Greater Manchester area.
