Client Details

This firm's Business Services team provides the full complement of outsourced services that covers accounting and other administrative functions such as management accounting, financial statements, VAT and regulatory reporting for clients.

Description

  • Assisting the managers with a growing client portfolio, as well as carrying out all accounting work for a wide range of profit-making organisations and charities in accordance with the firm's and statutory procedures.
  • Overseeing the planning, executing, completing and producing client-ready product independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Review management accounts, statutory accounts, and VAT returns for a wide range of organisations in compliance with the firm's and statutory procedures.
  • Take ownership of implementing accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) for clients.
  • Provide training and support to the trainees within the team.
  • Delegating, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary, including being involved in development of junior staff.
  • Deliver training sessions for junior members of the team throughout the year and provide the manager of the team with innovative adaptations to accounting methodologies to improve efficiencies.
  • Provide general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts and VAT returns, for example preparing working papers for management or statutory accounts.
  • Recommend improvements to clients' accounting systems and controls and assist clients whenever needed.

Profile

  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • 120 UCAS points from 3 A-Levels as well as Level 6 (B) in GCSE Maths and English Language
  • Experience of working within an accountancy practice
  • Client facing experience
  • Experience of reviewing statutory and management accounts and VAT returns for corporates
  • Experience supporting and training junior team members
  • Experience of delivering or operating cloud solutions
