The Payroll Specialist / Manager will manage and oversee payroll processes, along with some accounting responsibilities. This role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in payroll systems and coming from an accounting background within the business services industry.

Responsibilities:
- Process end to end payroll on time for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and company policies.
- Manage pension auto-enrolment.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance department on payroll reporting.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings, maintain balance sheet reconciliations relating to such as PAYE and National Insurance contributions.
- Support the preparation of year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds and audits.
- Annual budgets and forecasts for compensation and benefits.
- Bank reconciliations, VAT returns, monthly and quarterly year end close, along with accruals and cost recharging.
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
- Experience in managing end to end payroll processes in a stand alone role.
- Must have experience with payroll software Workday and ADP and accounting systems.
- A solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and regulations.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
