We are looking for a dynamic bookkeeper to take responsibility for all accounting records, and to present reports for strategic decision making. Pen Heaven is a leading online retailer of personalised pens, leather accessories and stationery gifts.
Ensure all accounting records are accurate and kept up to date including:
- Bank reconciliations with online payment gateways
- Credit card statements
- Journal entries for any required adjustments e.g. credit notes, refunds, rebates
- End of month supplier payrun, including reconciliation of supplier statements and invoices
- Payroll
- Monthly management accounts, including reports on channel performance, to be communicated to managing director
- Bi-weekly low margin report on a sku by sku basis
- Work with external accountants to prepare year end accounts and tax returns
- Work with accounting software developers to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Responsibility for overall bookkeeping function for minimum of 2 years
- Highly experienced with accounting software systems
- Strong knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience with Microsoft Navision
- Understanding of online retail operations
The candidate will have a flexible work-life balance working a hybrid role between 20-25 hours/week.
