This role involves an Accounts Payable position in the Property industry, based in London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records and processing payments.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established, large-scale organisation in the Property sector. With a strong presence in London, they have a significant influence in the industry and are renowned for their commitment to excellence and integrity.

Description

  • The registering and batching of supplier invoices and circulation for internal approval.
  • Ensure all utility bills are passed for approval and paid within a week of the receipt of the invoices.
  • Consider applicability of CIS deductions for invoices received.
  • Record and return any incorrect invoices rendered by suppliers for amendments.
  • Prepare the weekly suppliers payment schedule for the approval.
  • Process the weekly BACS payment runs in addition to CHAPS payments as needed.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any queries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the CIS returns to HMRC, for all relevant companies, ensuring correct and accurate payment is made using online facilities.
  • Assist with quarter-end close procedures, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Assist in process improvements and system enhancements within the accounts payable function.
  • Provide cover for other members of the Accounts Payable team as required.
  • Any other duties as might be reasonably required.

Profile

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Experience with property management accounting systems (e.g., BlueBox, Yardi, MRI, Oracle NetSuite) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience in using medium to large scale accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of VAT/CIS applicable in property sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Offer

  • An estimated hourly salary range of £38,000 - £42,000.
