Michael Page are partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Financial Accountant for their finance team based in Llandudno. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a high-performing finance function and play a key role in statutory reporting, compliance and technical accounting projects across a multi-entity business.
The role has arisen following an internal restructure and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while working closely with senior finance leadership on a range of interesting technical accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- VAT returns and indirect tax compliance
- Corporation tax preparation and liaison with external advisers
- Supporting month-end reporting and management accounts production
- Technical accounting research and implementation
- Supporting the business through upcoming FRS 102 changes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group reporting requirements
- Company secretarial activities
- Supporting mergers, acquisitions and wider business projects
- Process improvement and strengthening financial controls
- Working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business
Profile:
- Qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Previous experience within a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- VAT and tax compliance experience
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach and willingness to drive improvements
- Experience gained within industry, retail, manufacturing or other commercial environments is particularly encouraged
