Description

We're looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Analyst to join a busy and collaborative team.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process while also supporting the administration of employee benefits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.

As part of a supportive organisation, you'll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while contributing to continuous improvements across payroll processes, systems, and controls.

The Role

This is a varied position where you'll be responsible for managing the monthly payroll cycle from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to payroll legislation.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include

  • Managing and processing end-to-end monthly payroll activities
  • Reviewing, validating, and analysing payroll data prior to processing
  • Completing payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
  • Ensuring payroll information, including overtime and benefit adjustments, is submitted accurately and on time
  • Administering employee benefits and flexible benefit schemes
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee payroll and benefits queries
  • Building relationships with HR teams, payroll colleagues, and external providers
  • Producing payroll reports and analysing data using Excel
  • Supporting payroll process improvements and enhancing controls and efficiencies
  • Assisting with weekly payroll activities when required
  • Profile

You'll be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll ideally have

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliation and data analysis
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships

Desirable

  • Experience administering employee benefits
  • SAP experience
  • CIPP qualification, or currently working towards one
