I am looking to recruit a Finance Manager for a £10 million turnover construction business in Leicester. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to play a pivotal role in the finance function of this business.
Our client is a trusted, family-run business with a longstanding reputation amongst their peers. Due to growth, they are looking to add to their team with a Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager's duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage all aspects of company finances including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Oversee and participate in day-to-day accounts tasks including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit control
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for directors
- Monitor project costs and assist with job costing and profitability analysis
- Ensure compliance with HMRC (VAT, CIS, PAYE) and other regulatory requirements
- Develop internal financial controls and improve systems/processes where needed
- Work closely with the wider team, contributing to business planning and operational decision-making
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A part ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification or qualified by experience
- Demonstrated experience managing finances in an SME environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles
