Management of the financial planning and strategy of the Group to include the timely provision of management information (actual results and forecasts) and the assessment, management and minimising of risk. To support the CFO with M&A activity and oversee management of the Heads of Departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Timely production and filing of statutory reports and returns ensuring compliance with relevant law and policies.
- Lead Finance representative in the development of the Group's finance IT system; Xero, to ensure an efficient integration with Omni, HR and payroll systems and Operational systems.
- Perform risk management, in conjunction with Group Risk Manager, by analysing the organisation's liabilities and investments and management of business insurance policies.
- Timely production and distribution of Management Information (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Comparison of actual performance versus budgeted/forecast, with variance analysis/KPI analysis.
- Ownership of the Group's financial planning, one-, three- and five-year plans.
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organisation's operations - both short term and medium term.
- Liaison with external professional advisors regarding any corporate finance related activities.
- Line management and development of the Finance team ensuring level of resource has the appropriate level of knowledge, skills and capacity to support business needs.
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks - Treasury Management/short term investments/maximising returns whilst maintaining adequate cashflow.
Profile:
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial management position with extensive experience in leading a finance team and overseeing a company's financial control and reporting activities.
- Experience within professional/financial services would be desirable.
- Strong leadership qualities and communication skills.
- Live within a commutable radius to Leicester.
