A pivotal opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead the finance function at a major UK food manufacturing site. This is a strategic, site-based role where you'll manage performance reporting, financial control, and budgeting-while acting as a trusted partner to the site leadership team.

With revenues exceeding Β£1bn and a dynamic, multi-site supply chain, the business is known for its pace, innovation, and strong internal progression opportunities. This role sits within their grocery division and plays a central role in site performance and group reporting.

Description

As Site Finance Manager, you'll report to a divisional Financial Controller and support the operational and strategic performance of a major manufacturing site. You will lead the local finance agenda, delivering clear insight and robust financial control, while also supporting capital investment and long-term planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own site budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting
  • Lead financial control, variance analysis and overhead tracking
  • Deliver weekly/monthly reporting cycles and board-ready insights
  • Support costing, margin analysis and standard cost updates
  • Review capital expenditure, including ROI modelling and board submissions
  • Partner with operations, engineering and supply chain teams to drive site performance
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls
  • Lead and develop an on-site Management Accountant
  • Engage with group stakeholders on reporting and supply chain finance matters

Profile

The Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong track record in a manufacturing or FMCG finance environment
  • Advanced user of Excel and ideally experienced with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and complex financial data
  • Confident working with senior non-finance stakeholders
  • Able to lead, develop and motivate a small on-site finance team
